For $275 Haddoxs convey tract of about 182 ½ acres in Wakefield Dist., Rappahannock Co., VA, adjoining lands of W.L. Turner, the resettlement & bordering on road leading from Turner’s Mill up river & known as old Haddox Home Place, with description given in will of John Haddox, recorded in Will Book B:513. - John Dangerfield Haddox, Jr., 87 year old married white male Retired Farmer, husband of Bessie Mitchell Haddox, resident of Huntley, Rappahannock Co., VA, born 13 March 1862 in Virginia to John D. Haddox, Sr. & Amanda Jacqueline Smith, died 20 July 1949 at Front Royal Community Hospital, Front Royal, Warren Co., VA after a one week stay.  Informant was Bessie B. Haddox.

- Cause of death was Cerebral hemorrhage of 1 week's duration, due to Arteriosclerosis, generalized, of 20 years' duration.  Congestive Heart Failure of 1 week's duration was contributory.  Certified by Edwin M. Eastham, M.D. of Front Royal, VA, who attended from 1946 until day of death, having last seen him alive the day of death.

- Arrangements were by Maddox Funeral Home of Front Royal, VA, with burial at  Family burial grd. near Flint Hill, VA.
